Crystal is a rare gem indeed. She’s a fitness instructor with a heart of gold and a gentle, kind personality. I think she looks like Kate Middleton, and so did a lot of the people who passed by as I took her portrait at the Spanish Steps. The Spanish Steps are another hidden gem in Washington, D.C. where you could easily fool yourself into thinking you’ve found a European oasis in the middle of the United States capital. It is a versatile spot any time of year, but fair warning for a summertime photo session: mosquitos love this place. (Or they love me!)
We spent the afternoon at the Spanish Steps in the middle of winter, yet it was surprisingly warm so I very much appreciate Crystal’s willingness to put on the heavy winter gear for the sake of fashion! We also walked over to the Cincinnati Society, also known as Anderson House, a tour-worthy visit especially if you enjoy imagining yourself living in a mansion the way I do. Crystal changed clothes and we then walked back over to the Spanish Steps to finish in her workout gear.
Would you believe that she didn’t think she “could take a good photo” ???!!! Trust me, she made this work easy.
