Maggie had her whole family come to her Senior Portrait session at Ft. Steilacoom Park in Lakewood, WA. Sometimes, I will ask family members to stand back and watch the process from afar. It can be unnerving and make people self-conscious if onlookers are too close. But it was obvious to me within a few seconds how close they are, and how excited Maggie was to have these photos taken with her family!
Ft. Steilacoom Park is a wonderful backdrop, and it seems to have everything — trails, fields with tall golden summer grasses, a barn and multiple playgrounds. Families filled the park while we did Maggie’s portraits, and it felt like such a perfect summer night listening to kids laughing and playing all around us.
I knew I wanted to get a family photo immediately but waited until we were in the middle of the session to suggest it. Look at how natural they are with each other! And those two beautiful sisters!! I often wonder how people become who they are…and it always is the direct result of those around them. Maggie is definitely destined for great things with such love from her very kind and loving family supporting her.
