When I arrived at her home in Arlington, one of the first things Crystal said to me was “Can I get a photo of me with the pups?”–not before she got dressed in her gown, but after. As Crystal and Jeff considered all of the details that went into their wedding day, they most fundamentally wanted to start their marriage with an estate wedding at home — as a celebration of their families and friends, not just with them.
Can you say elegant? Jewelry from legendary Tiny Jewel Box, couture wedding gown from Alexander McQueen. And doesn’t Crystal look a lot like Kate Middleton?
Some of the best wedding vendors in Washington, D.C. made the trek to Arlington to create magic at their estate wedding. Guests arrived for a pre-ceremony cocktail hour and then invited to take their seats in the tent. Exquisite florals by Sidra Forman created a reception “dining room” that also served as the ceremony site–such a lovely segue from the kiss to a toast from the groom welcoming the guests to dinner served by multi-award winning, James Beard nominee Chef Todd Gray of Equinox, D.C. Without question every guest knew they were part of a very special beginning.
