As a client, FlywheelSports has made a huge different in my overall health and well-being. As a photographer, it has brought me new people, new opportunities and some really fun afternoons of play and experimentation. This retail photoshoot for Flywheel Sports’ December 2016 apparel line was done at the iconic John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, on the rooftop and at City Center DC, home to Washington D.C.’s newest upscale shopping center — and Flywheel Sports’ new second DC location.
I had my own learning curve working with a corporate client, rather than individuals, as the focus and intent is slightly different: of course everyone should look good, but the product also needs to be clear while remaining “on brand.” Luckily I had the helping hands, and additional pairs of eyes to make this a smashing success. And many thanks to the generous instructors who braved the cold — it may look sunny, but remember this was the end of November, when air temperatures take a quick dive when you least expect it. Since this photo shoot published, I’ve gone on to do a number of lifestyle sessions for various instructors and teams of instructors, especially for social media campaigns.
